IT-Lifeline independent audits are designed to verify and validate an organizations business continuity test and then report those findings to executive management, board-level directors, or State or Federal regulators.
Historically, information technology (IT) departments conduct continuity testing at facilities and internally validate their claims of success. Although most organizations have a high-level of trust and respect for the reported results – executives, directors, and regulators have started asking for documented validation from independent auditors. IT-Lifeline has partnered with an established certified accounting/auditing firm to perform this task.
The third-party auditing firm documents, validates and certifies continuity test objectives at the IT-Lifeline Business Continuity Center.
Specific areas of focus:
- Recovery time objectives
- Recovery point objectives
- Recovery team efficiency
- Operating system recovery validation
- Application testing validation
The scope of the audit, reporting, and associated fees are managed directly through the auditing firm (independent of IT-Lifeline).
Together with IT-Lifeline, the auditing firm provides a high level of assurance that continuity test efforts match an organizations expectations and return on investment for business continuity budgets.
