Here’s how it works: IT-Lifeline uses IBM’s Fortune 100 level high-speed midrange servers, storage area network (SAN) devices, and network optimization to enable the transfer, vaulting, security, and recovery of your data. Data can be backed-up using scheduled jobs, or can be designed with a bit-by-bit continuous data protection transfer technology. All client data is stored at the IT-Lifeline Disaster Recovery Center on high-speed IBM storage arrays and available for immediate restore, and a redundant set of data are secured at an off-site Iron Mountain data protection vault.

Recovery: IT-Lifeline’s data backup service provision provides you with an unparalleled ease of recovery. We provide each of our customers with a graphical user interface (GUI) or command line interface for recovering files. Additionally, we provide bare-metal-restore training to customers that want the flexibility to recover servers without our assistance. The IT-Lifeline engineering team has direct hands-on experience performing bare-metal restores on dissimilar hardware platforms or virtual server environments. Real Policy Based Data Management: Competing firms loosely use “data management” when describing their product or service offering. We use a customized IBM product called Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM). With TSM IT-Lifeline employs the true meaning of data management providing you granular file-level, directory, filesystem, or server data backup versioning and point-in-time archiving. Additionally, we provide our customers with customized data utilization, growth and trend analysis reporting.
